隣町、Binmaleyで行われた “Sigay Festival” へ・・・
Binmaley is known to be the “Seafood Capital of the North”. To make this title more meaningful, the town holds a grand fiesta named as the Sigay Festival. Sigay is a Pangasinan word which means to harvest. So basically this festival is celebrated as a tribute to the aquaculture industry of the town, which is the main source of livelihood for the people in the community.
To feel how exciting the festival is, some teachers visited the said town.
When we arrived there, there were only few people than what we were expecting. The first thing we did was to buy some food to eat.
The smile of hunger!
We were a bit puzzled why there were only few people around. Guess why? We were surprised when we saw them chasing after the streetdancers arriving.
